Happy New Year to all my Chinese readers! If you enjoy Chinese food, Wing Lee is a great place to buy authentic ingredients at very reasonable prices. It's like a cash and carry but they welcome members of the public as well as trade.
You can buy all types of East Asian food and cooking products.
They sell Chinese, Thai, Philippines and Japanese food. This includes sauces, dim sums, noodles, and fresh and frozen products.
Bakery products come from the Wong Wong Bakery in Manchester.
They have some unusal (for me anyway) fruit and vegetables (Thai vegetables arrive every Thursday).
In China an angry face is called a “bitter melon face,” they sell bitter melons so try one and find out why!!
It's very easy to get to, about a ¼ mile from Stoke City's Britannia Stadium.

I was searching fruitlessly for a decent place to get sushi ingredients in Stoke last weekend, and ended up having to pay over the odds at Sainsburys for some basics.
I saw Wing Lee today, but was put off, thinking it might be just a warehouse (Big grey warehouse of a building, near to several other ones). WIll give it a look tomorrow :)
The new shop is great they also have live crabs, not been that adventurous yet though.
The choices can be overwhelming but the staff are really helpfull just ask
really good choice plus there's a sushi restaurant upstairs - tried that for lunch as well - great.
Only disappointment - no lunch time specials at the weekend - not so good if you fancy popping in for a quick bite and picking up some groceries.
