The Lavender Barn

The Lavender Barn is family run business on the Dunham Massey Estate (owned by the National Trust). They produce a wide variety of organic lavender.

There's a tea room with excellent cakes (try the spice and honey cake) and you can have lavender tea, which is apparently calming.

They also sell honey and lavender marmalade.

I have just googled this place, shame they haven't got a website, they are great! The cafe is great but I loved that there was a great little shabby chic style shop attached, it was all so romantic and Idylic!

My partner and I stumbled across The Lavender Barn last weekend. So we popped in for a coffee, we sat outside in the garden, surrounded by fields, the mis match of garden furniture,a small pet enclosure with ducks/rabbits and guinea pigs added to the charm. We had home made sticky toffee cake and cream with coffee and a pot of tea, all was very nice, so much so we ordered another, the staff were friendly, and helpful, and it was lovely to sit relax and read, in peace, without feeling the need to go when we'd finished our drinks. Its a lovely place to take youngsters, there even a little wendy house there for them. We will definitely be returning.
