Holly Tree Farm Shop

Just 50 yards west of Junction 19 of the M6 is Karol Bailey's Holly Tree Farm Shop.
Unlike many farm shops, 95% of the goodies you will see here are made and created on the premises.

Its a bit like Dr Who's tardis here, once you get inside there are far more things to make your mouth water than you could imagine.

As you come down the drive, you may see the rare breed Grey Face Dartmoor sheep, which are slower to mature, but give a tender, sweet tasting meat. Karol is known in the area as Goose Girl, - on the 28th May 400 baby goslings will arrive on the farm!

There's a good, attractive selection of meat for sale on display, produce from the farm. You could have a traditional joint, say a leg of the rare breed Grey Face Dartmoor sheep, or something more exotic like a boneless cushion of lamb shoulder with ginger, chilli and lime marinade. They also sell mutton for people who realise that meat that is more mature is also tastier.

There's a surprisingly good selection of drinks as well. They specialise in bottle conditioned ales, like Fen Tiger from the Iceni Brewery. There's also a good selection of traditional ciders and fruit wines.

If you can't wait to get home to try the produce, there's a café as well.

There's old fashioned plum jam or more unusual preserves such as Strawberry and Rose Petal jam.

Their sticky chocolate fudge cake is great eaten cold, but wonderful served hot with the local Dunham Massey ice cream!
