Tarvin - Jessops

Jessop's are successors to George Gunnery & Co and are situated in the village of Tarvin, 6 miles east of Chester.

They sell hot bacon and sausage rolls, hot roast of the day sandwiches, cooked meats, cheese and preserves, bread, cakes and wine. They will make up hampers. They stock excellent florentines from Fudges bakery.

It's a pleasant shop where the staff are happy to let you just browse, but will give help and advise if you ask. They also do wine tastings.

Jessups is a FANTASTIC shop: the staff are as pleasant and as obliging as one would hope for; the wine and comestibles are interesting and of good quality; the homemade cakes are exactly that - homemade (so homemade, in fact, you can pass them off as your own) - and the made-to-order sandwiches are addictive! A superb place to shop,

Thank you for the absolutely delicious lemon cakes which were swiftly transformed into a 'boy' cake and a 'girl' cake - everyone at the baby shower really enjoyed them, especially the mother-to-be (who had a slice of each!)
