Bridgnorth

Shropshire is one of my favourite counties, and Bridgnorth is one of my favourite towns. It's got the River Severn flowing through it, the Severn Valley Steam Railway, a cliff railway, lots of old buildings and a castle, and good food shops and a market.
If you're in High Town, the Town Hall (erected 1652) is worth a visit.
It's a great building inside:
and out
and the centre of Bridgnorth's market:
Here you can get cheap fresh fruit and veg and good meat.
There's an outdoor market on Fridays and Saturdays.
