Buttercross Farm

It's always a good sign when the pigs run up to meet you when you come up a farm drive! At Buttercross Farm the pigs were Large Blacks (definitely not to be confused with Large Whites).
All the pigs are outdoor reared at Buttercross Farm. It's an attractive and well run business with a strong emphasis on local foods. They specialise in things you won't find in the supermarkets like their Shropshire version of pancetta – their own belly bacon, smothered in herbs, then air-dried and smoked over oak chippings.
