London - Ben's Fruit & Vegetables

I'm a big believer in the Mediterranean diet - which is all about eating lots of different fruit and vegetables. I enjoy all the different flavours, textures and colours. I think we would all eat more fruit and vegetables, if we had more shops like Ben's Fruit & Vegetables - a relatively new shop on Westbourne Grove:

Inside the shop there's all the colours of the rainbow:

They sell an A to Z of fruit and veg, with asparagus and artichokes:

through to zucchini (also known as courgettes)!

There's a good selection of salad leaves:

Fruit lovers are well catered for, with these apples (including RHS Brogdale apples) and pears:

and nice melons, citrus fruit (including unwaxed lemons), and soft fruit and speciality exotic fruit:

There's lots of different items, like these little aubergines:

and I'm always pleased to find fresh garlic (which doesn't give you the revolting breath that the stale garlic sold in some supermarkets gives you):

They also sell eggs, oils, nuts and seeds, chutney and jellies, curds and jams, honeys and spices. Home delivery is also available.
