The Cheshire Smokehouse is just off the A538, half way between junction 6 of the M56 and Wilmslow (and close to Manchester Airport and Styal Mill). The first thing you notice as you walk into the shop is a pleasant smell of smoked food. Hams hang from the ceiling, fridges are packed with tasty cooked and fresh meats, smoked fish, British and Continental cheeses. There's a wine section and at the far end there is a pâtisserie counter.They also do ready meals, smoked nuts and much more besides. Upstairs is a cafe where you can try their smoked and specialist foods (if you can get a seat!).
Not the cheapest place I've been to, but they were doing a very good trade which shows that people will pay for quality.
