Shrewsbury - Appleyards

Appleyards is quite an amazing place. The staff are friendly and helpful and the moment you walk into the delicatessen you'll smell all sorts of different foods.  There's an excellent selection of cheeses, including Stichelton and Mr Moyden's handmade cheese from nearby Newport.  They cure their own bacon and ham (from local pigs) and there's hams hanging from the ceiling.

They sell all sorts of other things:
I think I could go in every day and still keep finding new things!

They sell sour dough bread and Great Ness rapeseed oil.  They also stock Reg May's wonderful pork pies. There's a good selection of rice and pasta.

If you have a sweet tooth they sell Valrhona chocolate and Bonbonniere organic chocolate. I would recommend the Best of Taste fruit coulis.

They've also got a busy stall in Shrewsbury market, but try to go to 85 Wylecop for the full experience!
