Setonaikai is a family-run shop specialising in authentic ingredients, cookware and tableware from Japan and the Far East, along with a range of cards, gifts and kimonos. In addition to Japanese items, they also sell a wide range of products from the following countries: Thailand, India, China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Middle East, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Pakistan and more. With over 2,000 product lines, and growing they offer a complete oriental kitchen in one shop.
The first paragraph was more or less lifted from their web site which has a much more comprehensive list of all the different stuff they sell. I don't understand or know half the products, but they also have a recipe of the month on their web site to help you out.You can buy good quality soy sauce for a fraction of the cost of poorer quality products sold elsewhere.
It's well worth a visit!
Since writing this post Setonaikai has moved to new (and better) premises in the Greek Revival style Parade Shopping Centre which was built as the Royal Salop Infirmary in 1826-30.
