Buxton

Buxton is a fine spa town in the heart of the Peak District with spectacular architecture and a great centre for touring.

Buxton Blue is a blue cheese with PDO (Protected designation of origin) status that can only be made in and around Buxton.

Just opposite the Crescent (pictured above and modelled on Bath's Royal Crescent ) is the Café @ The Green Pavilion.
A former owner, Hannah Critchlow, was North West Regional Winner of Local Food Heroes 2006 on UKTV Food. She's now no longer connected with the café as she is starting a family.

The café aims to serve local food.

I didn't try the courgette cake that they were proclaiming was back in stock!
