Didsbury - Deliciously Swiss

Good food shops are like the buses in Manchester, you wait for ever, and then suddenly 3 come at once!
I stumbled across Deliciously Swiss in Didsbury when I was heading for Evans's excellent fish shop a few doors away. It was quite a find. Apparently they've only been open for 6 weeks.

The owner, Mark Cooper, served his apprenticeship with a Swiss master baker and confectioner and has worked in some of the finest five star establishments in Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Australia, the Middle East and Asia. He's now come home and Mark and his family have opened an artisan bakery in Didsbury producing high quality breads and superb patisserie. The patisserie I tried was really good; - very attractive, tasty and light (not excessively rich). I wanted to take a decent picture of the displays, but a steady queue of customers were always in the way! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the produce.

I hope Mark does well here, he deserves to.

p.s. Since this post was written I've been back to the shop twice, but found it closed :-(.  Does anyone know if he's still trading?
