Greenfields Farm Shop is located next to the Wyevale Garden Centre in Telford. It's a really good farm shop that keeps getting even better.
The owner, Rob Ward, cares passionately about what he does and offers a consultancy service for other farmers interested in retailing.
In fact he's currently undertaking a world tour to discover the most innovative food ideas and retail businesses, visiting Melbourne, Australia, North America and a tour of Asia!
The shop is exciting and well designed. The first thing you see is attractive displays of fruit and vegetables.
They sell local meat (including good sauasages). They have some nice desserts and bread and cakes
They also sell Cotswold Legbar eggs - green shell, free range farm eggs from Great Bolas.
The fruit and vegetables are always fresh and top quality.
They have an interesting delicatessen counter with good pork pies and quiches.
This year's new crop of asparagus is now in stock. If you haven't got time to make it, they'll sell you a nice jar of hollandaise sauce.
If you can't get to the shop, you can do your shopping on-line.
What strikes me about many of the shops I've featured in this blog, and especially Green Fields, is the high quality of the staff. They usually have excellent product knowledge and nothing is too much trouble.
It makes shopping a pleasure.
