I first heard of Pokusevski's deli and café from the excellent UK TV Food site. I was intrigued to know where the owner originated from (having spotted several Hungarian influences) but according to another blog it turn's out he was born in Bosnia and his gandfather was from the Ukraine! Every other shop in the area seems to be a food outlet!
I got there at lunchtime and ordered a very fine quiche and salad, which gave me the opportunity to observe what the regulars were ordering.There's a very good selection of salamis and chorizo sausage etc. They sell Peppadew and various stuffed peppers, in fact quite a range of deli items.
They do good cakes (e.g. orange and almond or carrot and walnut cake for instance) and a nice baked cheescake.
They also have an interesting selection of fruit juices and wines.
