If your living in the North West, Claremont Farm is the place to go for fresh asparagus.
Claremont farm is dead easy to get too, just off junction 4 of the M53. Head towards Bromborough and it's the first road on the right. It's only 15 minutes from Liverpool city centre.It's run by the Pimbley family for over 100 years and 4th generation Andrew is passionate about what he produces.
They grow cereals, potatoes and a wide variety of vegetables. They are most famous for their asparagus and strawberries and have a very popular Pick Your Own.
I quite like their web site (designed by the modestly named Reasonably Good web design company), but the "Lettuce in please" button instead of everybody else's "Enter" button is an awful pun :-).Claremont Farm supply some of the top restaurants in the area, see the eat out section on their web site for details of some of them.
Claremont Farm is also the home of the Wirral Food and Drink festival, which is looking forward to it's 3rd event on the August bank holiday weekend, and is one of my personal favourites.
