Like all good suburbs, Handbridge has (at least) three good food shops.
Edens of Handbridge is run by Kevin Brackenbury.
They specialise in locally grown and sourced fruit and vegetables, and go for organic where possible.
It's a stylish shop with the fruit and veg attractively displayed in baskets. All around the shop are blackboards with either further information or witty observations.
They also offer a delivery service. When I called they were selling rhubarb, strawberries and the last of this year's asparagus from Claremont Farm. They also make fresh smoothies.
It seemed a very happy shop. There was an amazing sunflower picture on the ceiling (which you can see on Facebook) donated by a customer.
Another customer had donated an old dial up telephone.
When does that happen in a supermarket?
