I first heard of deli-vert at this year's Chester Food and Drink Festival, where they deservedly won Gold in the local produce shop of the year category.
So I was really looking forward to visiting their delicatessen, and I wasn't disappointed when I got there.Their web site states that they have a passion for fine food, a concern for the environment, a belief in the importance of a strong local economy and a desire to promote organic alternatives wherever possible.
Much of their ready to eat food is made in-house daily, from fresh salads and soups to baguettes and quiches.
They had a good selection of cheeses including Appleby's Cheshire Cheese, Butlers Blacksticks Blue, Raven's Oak Dairy's Burland Green and some excellent Brie.
