When I went into the Jolly Chef and discovered that the owner, Mario, was Italian and came from near Milan I wondered why he didn't call it Mario's or something more Italian.
However I decided by the time I left he was jolly and so the name was quite apt.
Most of the stuff is made in the shop or in their bakery. A sign proclaims that it's real bread, with no additives. They do ciabatta and I took home some very nice bruschetta.

You can buy ready meals like cheese, tomato and potato bake and cottage pie and tiramisu.
If you're not on a diet, you can buy fresh cream fudge doughnuts and some attractive fruit tarts.
