Ford Green Hall is a timber-framed farmhouse, originally built in 1624, the only one of its kind surviving in the area.
Just up the road from Ford Green Hall is the Hovis Oatcake Shop.

I was wondering whether to ask if they used Hovis flour in their oatcakes, but when I went in the shop I could see great big bags of Hovis flour.

They were changing the opening times on Fridays from 7:00am to 8:00am, which is quite late for an oatcake shop! However they're open longer in the afternoons than most.
