Fir Tree Farm Shop & Seasons Café

I knew that Fir Tree Farm Shop and Seasons Café was run by farmers as soon as I arrived.
Old drums had been recycled into plant containers and even an old fertiliser spinner was being used to grow plants!

There was a painting of a landscape on the side of one of the barns.

Alan and Edwina Abbott's aim is to cut down on the 'food miles' and source from small and artisan producers.

Amongst many other things were cheeses from Butlers, Delamere Dairy, Shorrocks and the Snowdonia Cheese Company. You can buy Cumberland sausage (and Lancashire Sauce to put on them). They sell Fentimans curiosity cola and, being reasonably closed to Wigan, Uncle Joes's mintballs. I see that William Santus have put the words and music to Mike Harding's fine song on the web here.

Inside the farm shop there's a café, which becomes a restaurant in the evenings. Outside there's a woodland walk and chain saw sculptures.
