This weekend (18th-20th July 2008) it's Seafest at Scarborough. Seafest is an annual festival which takes place at West Pier and around the harbour area. It's the the regions biggest gathering of folk singers, shantymen and musicians and has a "Sea Fish Cookery" marquee. 
If you want a good fishmonger in Scarborough I would go to Fruits From The Sea.Peter Thundercliffe has been a fishmonger for 15 years and prior to that worked as a commercial fisherman and had his own boat which sailed from Bridlington.
You can buy fresh fish, home made fish cakes, and fish pie.
They've also got local honey and other delicatessen items.
