Pickering is the southerly destination of the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway (Pickering station was used in the Harry Potter films) and a pleasant historic market town.The Ginger Pig in Pickering is an attractive delicatessen owned by Tim Wilson (see previous post). The shop has a good selection of cheeses, and sells their own sausages and dry cured bacon and a good range of charcuterie. They also have home baked pies, and home made cakes and buns. Their sausage rolls are legendary!
They sell a range of wines, selected by themselves from small vineyards in France.
