When you see the bike outside the shop, you almost expect to be served by Corporal Jones (the Dad's Army butcher). It's been a butcher's shop since 1911, bought by Eric Bailey in 1960 and is now run by his son Peter.
They do all the usual items, including traditional brawn and sausages using the recipe Eric created in 1960. You can even create your own flavour sausage (subject to a minimum 5lb order)! A friend, who knows a lot about food (and pigs) recommended his smoked bacon and so do I.
