Oatcake Heaven is in the middle of Newcastle, not far from Sainsburys supermarket. It's run by Kerry and Pauline Morris.

It's very close to Newcastle College, and popular with the students who know where to get food at bargain prices. You can also sit down in the shop and have an oatcake with a drink.

If you've got the appetite of a student, try one of their supersize oatcakes!

I have been using Oatcake Heaven for 4 years, they are the best oatcakes we have eaten and the fillings are just as good, if you are hungry try the suppersize oatcake, they are magic. The staff are very polite and efficient which creates a great atmosphere. We will carry on using Oatcake Heaven for many years to come.

We came across Oatcake Heaven by chance while staying in Newcastle under Lyme to visit relatives. As an ex-pat Potter and a former resident of Penkhull, we really miss 'the real thing'- they freeze OK but they're never quite the same as fresh! So we were delighted to find somewhere to eat proper oatcakes cooked to perfection with excellent coffee and extremely friendly staff. We can't wait to go back for more.

Tried to telephone in an order this morning at 9.50am for 7 single filled oatcakes to collect, I asked if they could be ready for 10.15am, the person on the other end of the phone rudely laughed and said 'absolutely not' - I asked what time I could collect and the reply was 11am. I decided not to place an order and promptly drove to another oatcake shop without placing an order over the phone and was back sitting eating them at my desk at 10.30am. Not a very good service Oatcake Heaven - far superior service at the other oatcake shop and was even asked if I would like a complementary cup of tea whilst I was waiting. Also on previous visits to Oatcake Heaven I have been charged different amounts for the same filling oatcake. :-(
