Tuesday's Fine Confectionery is owned by Nicola Tuesday -hence the name. Aiming to sell the best from around the world, they have Belgian chocolates and nougat, English chocolate éclairs and toffees, German marzipan fruits, Turkish delight, and Scottish hand made fudge. In summer they sell Italian icecream. They also do wedding and other celebration cakes.
The main reason I visit this shop is to buy those chocolate covered whole cherries in kirsch (the sort where you have to remember they've still got a cherry stone in them). They're a good barometer of chocolate shops (some we've bought have cheap and nasty chocolate, others have no liquid or are sugary inside). The connoisseur in our house reckons the ones sold here are amongst the very best.
