We went to Cambridge recently as I hadn't been for about 30 years, and a lot of people have told us they think it's nicer than Oxford. Well sorry Cambridge, I prefer Oxford for it's architecture and history, but Cambridge did have less traffic (and tourists).

On Sundays there's a Farmers' Market

I've not seen the Farmers' Market, but the general market has some good fruit and vegetable stalls and a good cheese stall.
