Parkers of Stafford were established in 1927. A good indication of a good fishmongers is when you're not overpowered with a fishy smell when you go in the shop, and there was a pleasant smell when I went into Parkers. Inside the shop the fish are obviously fresh and attractively displayed. The staff are helpful and will clean and fillet your fish and give cooking advice if needed.They also have game (venison, partridge etc. when in season).
