Kenilworth is a small and historic town in the heart of Warwickshire, complete with a historic castle. According to Wikipedia, the first potato grown in England (brought back from South America by Sir Walter Raleigh) is thought to have been planted in the town, near to the castle.
I was recently in Kenilworth, and was planning to visit Emery's delicatessen, but found it had closed in January 2009. Happily Kenilworth has another good delicatessen - the Olive Tree. They're a member of Heart of England Fine Foods and naturally, as Kenilworth is a Fairtrade town, they sell Fairtrade products. They sell bread from a local bakery and have a good selection of home made salads.
