Shropshire is one of my favourite counties, and Bishop's Castle is one of my favourite towns.
There's a 1 in 6 gradient at the top of the High Street and lots of interesting shops.

This shop had a junk mail garden - "make something wonderful from something annoying" - in its window:
There are several good places for a coffee, I like Yarborough House which is also a large secondhand record and book shop:
There's also the House on Crutches museum:
Bishop's Castle has got a good butchers, great deli and two breweries (which I'll cover in the next few posts) - not bad for a small market town!

There's a market selling fruit and vegetables, flowers, bakery products and plants every Friday at the Town Hall (except for Good Friday and the first Friday in the New Year).
There's also an excellent farmers' market on the third Saturday of every month inside the Town Hall and in the adjacent Market Square.
