Wirral Food Festival

Today and tomorrow it's the Wirral Food & Drink Festival. It's a celebration of all things "Home Grown" and is one of my favourite food festivals. It's at Claremont Farm and it's a great chance to meet some old friends and to meet some new suppliers of fine food.
There's talks and demonstrations by chefs:
There are lots of stands where you can taste and buy food and drink:
Exhibitors include the excellent Chat Moss Herbs:
You can buy cupcakes:
The Port of Lancaster were selling smoked kippers:
One of my favourite cheese makers (Mrs Kirkham) was there:
and one of my favourite cheese shops, the Cheese Shop in Chester was also present:
Seasoned Pioneers were demonstrating their range of sauces:
There was lots of opportunity to try before you buy:
Northern Harvest were selling fruit and vegetables and promoting their delivery service:
I must remember to go to Birkenhead Market to visit Wards Fish.
There was also music and children's entertainment.

There's many more stalls besides, which I haven't had time to mention.

How much did it cost for all this? Just a £1!
If you're going tomorrow, there's a free shuttle bus from Spital Station.

I was there today. Anyone who is going tomorrow; look out for Edge and Sons' demonstration at the Dig A Little Deeper stage. I recommend getting in the queue for the hog roast early, as the crackling goes quick!
