Will Lloyd received a MBE this year, for services to the Meat Industry. Besides having an award winning butcher's shop, he has his own abattoir and also a smallholding. In 1998 there were eight small independent abattoirs in Montgomeryshire, now it's only one. As I've said before, I believe local abattoirs are better for animal welfare and result in less stress and therefore better meat.There are some interesting signs in the window, including one which says "Only two MPs allowed in this shop at a time"!
