In the centre of Aberystwyth, not far from the pier, I found ultracomida. They specialise in food from Wales, Spain and France! At the back of the shop is a stylish café/wine bar where you can sit down and eat some of their classy food. At the front is a shop where you can buy a filled Barra Gallega (Galician bread from Spain) or perhaps a sourdough with walnuts. You can buy Welsh Pastrami (from Gorno's in Cardiff), French Smoked Ham, or Chorizo Ibérico Blanco Extra. I never expected such a diverse choice in Aberystwyth!
There's a good selection of cheese including Trethowan’s Gorwydd Caerphillly, Teifi with cumin, and Rachel and Sam Holden's Hafod cheese from Wales, Roquefort le troupeau from France or Zamorano cheese from northern Spain! They've also got a shop in Narberth and a stall in Cardigan market. I will come back to Aberystwyth just to visit this place again....
