I'd like to pretend that Mermaid Seafoods was a pretty shop on the edge of the harbour, but it's on an industrial estate, half way between the North shore and the West shore in Llandudno. They receive deliveries daily, and sell fresh and frozen fish, seafood and game products both retail and wholesale. It takes a bit of finding, even with a Sat Nav you'll wonder where you're going! Go right out of Llandudno railway station and then right into Oxford Road and right again into Builder Street. After about 500 metres from the station turn right into Cae Bach and drive round past various workshops, keeping close to the railway line on your right. It's worth finding this business, because there's a really good choice of fresh fish, and prices here are very reasonable.
They also sell locally caught lobster, which are cooked on the premises.
