The first thing you walk past, as you go in, is a hog roast. The next thing you'll smell is a kipper smoking hut:
Kippers by Post is part of the Port of Lancaster, already featured in this blog here.

They recommend roasting a clove in the oven for 10 minutes, then cutting the end off and squeezing it into mashed potato.

The kippers are really tasty.

If you don't like kippers, try their smoked garlic:

Once you get into New Ferry Village Hall, you'll find it's packed with traders:

When I called earlier this year, the Port of Lancaster were selling pheasants:

Wirral Farmers' market have their own awards for best and the most unusual products:
but for some reason I didn't fancy trying the chocolate lamb banana curry!

There's Welsh Black beef, there always a big queue at this stand:

This stand also sells Welsh Black beef and outdoor pork:

At this stand you can buy wild boar and venison kebabs or venison minute steaks:

and woodcock:

Nonna Teresa sell their fresh pasta and sauces:

Born and Bred sell ciabatta, garlic and herb, olive, onion, sun dried tomato, sunflower, or walnut and raisin breads. They also sell onion and mushroom foccacia:

Earlier this year Eddisbury Fruit Farm still had Ashmead's Kernel (one of my favourite apples):

Recently featured in the blog, the Chocolate Cellar sell chocolates (ideal for Mother's Day):
and the Chocolate Garden has managed to combine a Mother's day present with an Easter Egg!

and the French Corner sells continental breads:

These Bramley Apple Pies looked attractive:

This stand sold home-made battenbergs and more besides:
