Nantwich - Scrumptillious

I covered Nantwich Farmers' Market in one of my first posts in this blog, but that was before Scrumptillious started selling their scrumptious and delicious food.

Scrumptillious make cupcakes, and other gastronomic delights, with top quality ingredients. It's a very popular stand at Nantwich Farmers' Market (which is usually held on the last Saturday of the month).
Scrumptillious have now branched out and also do celebration cakes (including cupcake wedding towers with or without a top cake) and outside catering.  Their latest venture is to open a café in the salerooms of Peter Wilson, a fine art and antiques auctioneer in Nantwich.
Peter Wilson's salerooms are based in what used to be Church School, not far from St Mary’s Nantwich, which is known as "the Cathedral of South Cheshire".
I think it's a brilliant idea, some people will go there looking for an antique/picture and will end up staying for a meal,
whilst others will go for a meal and end up buying an antique or a picture!
Everything on their menu is homemade from scratch, with ingredients sourced locally.  Their meat comes from Andrew Jackson just up the road and the bread comes from Colin Furber in Nantwich Market, just a few yards away.

I had a potato and Stilton soup with wild garlic and a smoked salmon, prawn and shallot with crème fraîche quiche.  Both were scrumptillious! They also specialise in gluten-free food.

Now you don't have to go  to London to eat stylish French Macaroons.
The café is not open every day, so check their website for details.
