Sloane Square - Partridges

You'd be amazed how many times I've wanted to take a picture of a shop to go in this blog, only to find a car or van is parked outside (on double yellow lines) spoiling the picture. So when I got to Partridges I didn't know whether to be happy or sad that there was a food market outside Partridges!

It was a rather fine food market (it takes place every Saturday in the Duke of York Square) with some excellent stalls including Partridges themselves. I would have taken more photos outside, but it was absolutely torrential rain, so I hurried into the shop....
Let's face it, I'm a bit of a snob and am therefore only to happy to shop where Her Majesty the Queen goes. Partridges were granted the Royal Warrant as Grocers to Her Majesty the Queen in 1994. It's a fantastic shop. Partridges are a member of the Guild of Fine Food and they aim to stock as many of their Great Taste Award products as possible. There's a good selection of cheeses like Jean Vernier Camembert, Quickes Traditional Farmhouse Cheddar, Melusine Goats Cheese Buchette, Kolios Greek Feta Cheese and Mandara Organic Buffalo Mozzarella:
There's hams on the bone, five types of smoked salmon and caviar. There's also a range of gluten-free, wheat free, dairy free breads and cakes.
