Friendly Food & Drink and Cumbrian Delights

Friendly Food and Drink make hand-made chutneys, preserves and sauces in their kitchen/shop at Staveley.  


The Friendly Food and Drink range contain fruit sugar which has a lower glycaemic index compared with cane sugar.  The range is also gluten free and nut free.   


They also do a Cumbrian Delights range with items like Cumberland sauce, Damson jam and chutney, and rum butter and sticky toffee sauce.


I met Geoff Monkman, from Friendly Food and Drink, at this year's Fine Food Food Northwest Awards.   This year they won gold awards for their choc-o-toff sauce and their sticky toffee sauce, last year their Chocolate and Orange Curd won "Best New Product 2009" and they won "Speciality Producer of the Year 2009".
