Brisol - Tobacco Factory Sunday Market

The Tobacco Factory is situated in what was W.D. and H.O. Wills factory in Southville, Bristol.  The building now houses a café bar, bistro, apartments, performing arts school and a theatre.
Every Sunday, in the car park, there's a Sunday market, with a strong bias towards ethical, eco-friendly, fair trade, organic and local products.
There's fruit and vegetables:
There's farm pressed Somerset apple juice from Box Bush Farm:
The Sausage Shed were selling some interesting sausages:
including their apple, rhubarb and pork sausages - which won a BPEX Gold Medal Winner this year.

Pieminister were selling their award winning pies:
like Wildshroom (wild mushroom, asparagus, shallots and white wine) or Mexican Bean (Mexican 3 bean chilli, butternut squash and fresh coriander).

I particularly liked Bristol Ethicurean, who have just taken over the café at Barley Wood Walled Garden.  Everything they sold was good; they sell Dorset Blue VinnyBarber's and Keen's cheddar:
and Ogleshield "French Raclette" style cheese, Old Demdyke cheese and Maryland butter.
I quite enjoyed the chorizo Scotch eggs, a new twist on an old classic.
Apparently the "Gert Lush" on the blackboard above is the highest form of praise that can be given to anything by someone from Bristol!

Bordeaux Quay (see last post) were present, selling their breads and sour-dough:
Their chocolate macaroons won Gold Taste of the West last year and, having tried one, I'm not surprised.
I thought the Tobacco Factory Sunday Market was great. It's not the biggest market I've been to, but the stalls are good in quality.

We noticed a lady outside, dressed as a Wills factory worker, giving a tour of the area outside. It looked great fun, if anyone knows who organises these tours I'd like details so I can go on one when I'm next in the area.
