If you think Yew Tree Farm looks like Hill Top, that's because it was used as Hill Top when they filmed Miss Potter. The farm was owned by Beatrix Potter in the 1930s, and you can even stay in this historical property if you wish.
This barn is the home of Heritage Meats. Jon and Caroline Watson farm using traditional methods and have a Belted Galloway beef herd and a flock of Herdwick hill sheep. The Herdwick Hogget we had was some of the nicest lamb we've ever had. They will be featured in a TV programme called 'Countrywise Kitchen' on Friday (3/12/10) at 8pm om ITV.
It's nice to know that you can get great meat and support a beautiful environment at the same time.
