Cocoa Mountain

I've been rather ashamed that I've not been into Scotland since writing this blog.  So when a friend told me that the best chocolates they'd ever had came from Cocoa Mountain, which is about as far north as you can get in mainland Britain, we had to try some.

They're situated 188 miles north of Glasgow, in Balnakeil Craft Village.  It's a disused army camp, which is now the home home to a number of crafts people and artists.  Thankfully they also do mail-order.
As soon as we opened the box we could tell that these truffles were going to be special.  The truffles we had were for someone who likes white chocolate, so we bought their White Chocolate Truffle Collection:

Other collections include a Dark and Decadent Truffle Collection and also a sugar-free collection.  Best of all you can even customise your own box, with flavours like Blueberry Cointreau Truffle, Darkest Whisky Cream, Orange and Geranium, and Strawberry and Black Pepper truffles.  Don't forget to include the Chilli Lemongrass Truffle!
