Henry Weston came to The Bounds, at Much Marcle, in 1878 and they family have been making cider and perry ever since. In the yard is an old cider press:
and you can go on a tour of the cider mill if you wish. The award winning courtyard garden was originally featured at the Hampton Court Palace Flower show in 2002:
There's a shop selling cider and perry, and also various preserves made with cider. I was appalled, watching Michael Portillo's Great British Railway Journeys which today featured Westons, that many people didn't even know what perry was.
There's also the Scrumpy House restaurant, and a separate café (in a converted 17th century cowshed) which contains a collection of over a 1,000 different cider and perry bottles!
