Spitalfields - Androuët Cheese Shop

Androuët is a delightful shop.  I was greeted by Alexandre Guarneri, a Parisian who runs this shop, who is clearly passionate about what he sells.  He's more than happy to give samples, because he know if you try some you'll buy some!
There's lot of cheeses you won't easily find elsewhere, and bread from Poilâne bakery to go with it.
There's Trappe Echourgnac:
made by the monks of the Abbey of Timadeuc in Brittany and matured using a nut liqueur.

This Petit Gaugry:
is a raw milk cheese from Burgundy and is matured with Marc de Bourgogne.

I'd never tried Boulette d'Avesnes before:
it's a pate of Maroilles cheese, which is ground up and aromatised with tarragon, parsley and crushed pepper corns.

If you want your dinner parties to be memorable, it's a great place to get your cheese selection from:
They also have a restaurant next to the shop.
