As I walked through the door of Plumgarths Farm Shop a sign informed me that Prince Charles had also been there. It's situated between the M6 and Wiundermere, on the outskirts of Kendal, and specialises in locally sourced high quality farm foods.
There's free range eggs and freshly made pies. Plumgarths traditional sausages have won Gold Taste awards, there's also Cumberland sausage (with or without cranberry) and dry cured bacon:
They also sell local salt marsh lamb and grass fed beef:
