Lyme Regis - Town Mill Bakery

The Town Mill Bakery started in Town Mill (see last post), but outgrew it's original premises and is now situated nearby in a converted boatyard on Coombe Street. 


Their head baker is Jorge F Boni, who became a Master Baker in Nantes, and has also worked in bakeries in Australia, Germany, Mexico and the USA.  They're passionate about their bread here, I was rather annoyed with myself, as I arrived later than I'd intended and they'd sold all their loaves apart from two!

I don't feel my pictures do their bread justice, it's proper artisan bread, made with local flour.  Have a look on their web site and their Facebook page to see some better pictures.

The above loaf was massive in size!  They've also got a café, which I shall make a point of visiting next time I'm in Lyme Regis.
