Become a farmer - for £30!

It was always said that there were three ways into farming:
  1. matrimony
  2. patrimony
  3. parsimony

Now there's a fourth (and considerably easier) way into farming) which only requires £30!  The National Trust has just launched a clever new initiative, called My Farm.

The farm is on the National Trust’s Wimpole Estate near Royston in Cambridgeshire.  They're looking to recruit 10,000 online Farmers to work with their farm manager, Richard Morris, to decide how the farm should be run.

So if you care about how your food is produced, and would like to learn more and help influence decisions on a farm, sign up today:
Web: www.my-farm.org.uk

Incidentally the Wimpole Estate holds seasonal larder days, where you can buy local and seasonal produce, on every second Saturday of the month.

Do you get any cut of the profits?

No Daniel, the National Trust is a charity and it's a not-for-profit project. There's more information in the FAQs on the site.

Still, any losses don't cost you anything either :-).
