Exmouth Indoor Market

I like markets for two reasons:
  1. they're a good place to find local food
  2. they're cheap!
The Exmouth Market I'm talking about today is situated in Exmouth, and should not be confused with the confusingly named Exmouth Market in London (that's on my "to do" list).

The small child in me liked a sweet stall called Sweet Temptations, where you could buy a "present" from the donkey or seagulls:
However my main reason for directing you to this market is to visit Dairy World:
Here you can buy fruit scones:
and clotted cream (also available by post):
A sign proclaimed that it's been the same price for the last 8 years, - you can't say that about many food items these days...

They also sell bacon and free-range eggs, pork pies and Moore's Exmouth Pasties.

There's Haystack Cheddar and farmhouse butter from Maryland Farm in Somerset, there's also Somerset Brie, Cornish Yarg and Devon Blue cheeses, with a good selection of local pickles to go with them:
There's also Moore's Dorset Knob biscuits:
and local honey:
