Reaseheath Family Festival

I have to declare an interest in this post, as Reaseheath College is where I work.  Tomorrow (Sunday 15th May 2011) it's the Reaseheath Family Festival.  In 1921, what was then called the Cheshire School of Agriculture, was opened at Reaseheath.  Like many good farmers, the college diversified has diversified over the years.  We now teach a wide range of subjects like Adventure Sports, Business & Events Management and Construction as well as the more traditional subjects.

We have our own farm, with sheep:
pigs and cows (which you can see being milked):
We have our own horticultural unit:
which grow a range of plants including bananas and peppers.

As the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink Dairy Champion, we have invested £7,000,000 into our food processing plant and now have one of the best equipped food processing teaching and practical facilities in Europe:
So if you want to learn more about how your food is produced, or possibly even want to start a career in food or farming it's a great day out.  There's lots of other activities, like The Knights of Middle England and Titan the Robot, and we even have our own zoo.

Last, but not least, there's a Farmers' Market.   Say hello to me (I'll be the library).
