O’Shea’s of Knightsbridge

Almost next door to my last post, is O'Sheas of Knightsbridge.  Darragh O’Shea runs O’Shea’s in Knightsbridge, he's the 8th generation of butchers from a family who established the first butchers in Tipperary in 1789.

They sell Black Angus free range and organic beef from both South West Ireland and Perthshire in Scotland. Their beef is dry-aged on the bone, for longer than most butchers, for a better flavour:
Their beef is well marbled and their customers include many of the top restaurants in the area.

Their free range and organic pork comes from pigs reared mainly outside on Dorset grasslands, and their lamb comes from farms in Yorkshire, the West Country, Wales and the Shetlands.
They make a wide range of sausages including a beef and Guinness Sausage!

Incidentally if you thought butchery is a male dominated business, Charlotte Harbottle is a butcher here and also wrtites her own blog: www.girlbutcher.co.uk
