Jones Deli @ The Egerton Arms

As it's the season to be jolly, I've found yet another good pub with a nice deli attached:

This time it's the recently opened Jones Deli at The Egerton Arms in Chelford. The deli does have a separate entrance, or you can wander through the pub straight into the deli:

The Egerton Arms has recently been taken over by Jeremy Hague and Anne Lefeuvre. Chelford, with its large livestock market, is at the heart of the North Cheshire farming community. So it's appropriate to mention that Jeremy's grandfather was Glynne Jones who, with his brother, made the first British self-tying pick up baler in Mold - which explains why there's a copy of The Jones Baler Story:

Jeremy's partner Anne, comes from Île-aux-Moines in Brittany - famous for its cider. The couple previously had a restaurant in St Germain serving fine Asian cuisine - so expect to find something unusual here.

Some of the food comes direct from the kitchen of the restaurant next door, so if you enjoyed your soup in the restaurant you can take some more back home with you.
