Alsager - Holtoms

Holtoms is a family run delicatessen in Alsager, specialising in local, regional and continental products. 

There's a café:

where you can have items like home-made soup, Staffordshire oatcakes, home-made cakes:

and (from 3 miles away) Buttertons ice-cream. This lovely ice-cream is made with milk from Butterton's herd of Brown Swiss cows.  

The deli:

sells carefully selected items from Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire (and occasionally further afield).

Popular items include Cooper’s Gourmet Sausage Rolls:

and local cheeses like Applelby's Cheshire, Lancashire Blue and Old Hag Cheddar made with Wincle ale & mustard.  To go with your cheese there's wonderful pickles from Christine's Preserves and Radfords of Somerford.

it's a place where you can always find some thing different, like snacking salami from Serious Pig:

spice kits from Spice N Advice and Stokie Ware mugs from Moorland Pottery.

Holtom's do hampers:

which make a nice thoughtful gift, when you want to say thank you to someone.   

They also sell wine, fruit liqueurs from Sloe Motion and beers from local breweries.  In fact this bottle, from the Wincle Beer Co, seemed to have my name on it!
